Hurricane Resources

Florida’s familiarity with hurricanes and other water-related natural disasters requires special attention, particularly for the special needs community. As we brace for hurricane season, Cedar Bridge Foundation emphasizes the critical importance of comprehensive preparedness—not only ensuring physical safety and supplies but also supporting mental well-being.

Hurricane season brings not only physical disruptions but can also heighten anxiety, stress, fear, and trigger PTSD, all of which can be more acutely felt by those with special needs. Proactive preparation is vital and has been proven to alleviate stress and anxiety before and during such events.

Below, we’ve listed resources to help ensure that our community is well-prepared for the challenges ahead.
