Offered by Cedar Bridge Foundation\, this 4-week aquatic wellness class combines gentle water-based exercises with a fun and supportive community environment. \nParticipants enjoy appx 1 hour of guided water aerobics led by volunteers\, followed by appx 30 minutes of free swim or relaxation time. Water aerobics promotes mobility\, coordination\, strength\, and cardiovascular health—while reducing joint stress and increasing confidence. \nThis program is part of our broader Bridge to Fitness initiative\, focused on promoting physical wellness\, independence\, and social engagement. Classes are held weekly and open to all ability levels. Participants work together in a supportive environment\, guided by trained volunteers\, to build confidence and enjoy the fun of cooking. \nThis pilot program is made possible through the support of generous donors\, fundraisers\, and volunteers\, and reflects Cedar Bridge Foundation’s mission of advocacy\, skill development\, and community inclusion for individuals with exceptional needs. \nThis Program is a pilot program. This hands-on experience invites participants to step inside one of the most important facilities in our area and see firsthand how dedicated professionals keep Flagler County safe during emergencies and disasters. \nParticipants will tour the operations center\, explore the advanced technology used to track severe weather\, coordinate first responders\, and share vital information with the community. They’ll meet real-life emergency personnel\, ask questions\, and learn how teamwork\, planning\, and communication come together to protect residents during hurricanes\, wildfires\, and other local events. \nThis outing goes beyond education—it’s a chance to connect with local leaders\, gain valuable safety knowledge\, and better understand how emergency services work in our community. \nAt Cedar Bridge Foundation\, we create experiences that build confidence\, encourage friendships\, and foster meaningful community connections. Our Hangout Guys program gives participants opportunities to try new things\, discover local resources\, and grow their independence. This visit to the Emergency Management Operations Center helps them explore\, interact\, and strengthen their sense of belonging in the community they call home. \nWe look forward to seeing the Hangout Guys learn\, laugh\, and engage during this special outing.
