This hands-on life skills course focuses on building foundational cooking knowledge while promoting independence\, communication\, and teamwork. \nEach week introduces a new meal theme—such as breakfast\, lunch\, snacks\, or simple desserts—while teaching essential kitchen safety\, basic food prep techniques\, and ServSafe food handling practices. Participants work together in a supportive environment\, guided by trained volunteers\, to build confidence and enjoy the fun of cooking. \nThis pilot program is made possible through the support of generous donors\, fundraisers\, and volunteers\, and reflects Cedar Bridge Foundation’s mission of advocacy\, skill development\, and community inclusion for individuals with exceptional needs. \nThis Program is a pilot program. DESCRIPTION:Cooking with Confidence – Cohort B (Intermediate Level)- Session #2 \nBridge to the Future: Cooking with Confidence – Cohort B is an 8-week intermediate cooking program for adults with developmental disabilities who already have experience in the kitchen. This hands-on life-skills class empowers participants to deepen their culinary abilities while strengthening independence\, communication\, and teamwork. \nEach week spotlights a new theme—ranging from breakfast-for-dinner to desserts and soups—while weaving in ServSafe food-safety practices\, recipe comprehension\, and essential techniques. Guided by trained volunteers\, participants collaborate to plan\, prepare\, and enjoy delicious meals in a supportive environment. \nMade possible through the generosity of donors\, fundraisers\, and community partners\, the program advances Cedar Bridge Foundation’s mission of advocacy\, skill development\, and inclusion for individuals with exceptional needs. \nThis Program is a. pilot. program.
