SUMMARY:Bridge to the Future: Cooking with Confidence (Cohort A)
DESCRIPTION:Date: August 8\, 2025 Time: 2pm-3:30pm \nCooking with Confidence – Cohort B (Beginner’s Level)- Session #5 \nBridge to the Future: Cooking with Confidence – Cohort A is a Beginner’s Class is an 8-week introductory cooking program designed for adults with developmental disabilities who are new to the kitchen or have limited experience. This hands-on life skills course focuses on building foundational cooking knowledge while promoting independence\, communication\, and teamwork. \nEach week introduces a new meal theme—such as breakfast\, lunch\, snacks\, or simple desserts—while teaching essential kitchen safety\, basic food prep techniques\, and ServSafe food handling practices. Participants work together in a supportive environment\, guided by trained volunteers\, to build confidence and enjoy the fun of cooking. \nThis pilot program is made possible through the support of generous donors\, fundraisers\, and volunteers\, and reflects Cedar Bridge Foundation’s mission of advocacy\, skill development\, and community inclusion for individuals with exceptional needs. \nThis Program is a pilot program. This club is an empowering social group designed specifically for young women (ages 17+) with exceptional needs\, such as Autism\, Cerebral Palsy\, Down Syndrome\, Intellectual Disabilities and more. Our monthly gatherings celebrate uniqueness\, self-expression\, and community through exciting activities\, sweet treats\, and heartfelt connections. \nSet in a welcoming and supportive environment\, our social events builds confidence\, creates memories\, and celebrates every participant’s beautiful individuality. Each month\, we gather to foster friendships\, encourage self-esteem\, and promote joy through interactive experiences that leave everyone smiling. With laughter and fun\, it’s a time to relax\, engage\, and belong. \nWhether you’re a returning member or it’s your first time joining us\, this event is open to all young women with exceptional needs who are ready to experience the magic of community. Our dedicated team and volunteers ensure every detail is thoughtfully planned to provide a safe and joyful environment. \nThe BeYOUtiful Ladies Club’s mission is to empower women with exceptional needs by building confidence\, promoting personal growth\, and offering enriching social experiences.
